The PROIBIDO harvest started in the Douro in between dry and hot days, wich is expected from the unique climate of the Douro Demarcated Region. This year we had an extremely hot summer that didn’t let the vines let up and forced them to spend long days without water, but we can say that there is no reason to be alarmed, the quality of the grapes is exceptional! The vines are not the only “workers”, we cannot forget that without the grape harvesters there would be no wine, these are the heroes and heroines who wear tradition and are proud to be part of the centenary history of this region.
